Dr. Adam Czelusta

Dr. Adam J Czelusta grew up in Florida, but came to Texas as soon as he could. He attended Rice University and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he graduated second in his class. After completing his transitional internship a Christus-St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Dr. Czelusta went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for his dermatology residency. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He is a devoted father of 4 children and an avid cyclist and runner. Dr. Czelusta has published articles in numerous medical journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Archives of Dermatology, Cutis, Skin and Aging and Biodrugs.Dr. Czelusta works at our west office on Tuesdays and Fridays.He is at the Provincial office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr. David Uptmore

Dr. David J. Uptmore grew up in Alief and Sugar Land, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science at the University of Houston on an academic Cullen Leadership Scholarship. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science center with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center and completed his dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the Texas Dermatological Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. Dr. Uptmore has specific interests in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and has published in several medical journals. He is a father of 3 children and is active in youth sports, car restoration since childhood, and enjoys the outdoors and golf. Dr. Uptmore works at our West office Mondays, Wednesdays and the first Friday of every month. He is at the Provincial office on Tuesdays, Thursdays and most Fridays.

Dr. Samantha Carter

Dr. Samantha E. Carter grew up in San Antonio and Heidelberg, Germany. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for undergraduate work and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for medical school. She completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer and her internship in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Prior to joining Katy Dermatology in 2010, Dr. Carter was in private practice in Arizona. Her favorite hobbies are traveling, reading, pets and running. She keeps busy at home with her husband, two sons and daughter. Dr. Carter works exclusively out of our main office on Provincial Blvd.

Dr. Jennifer Hickman

Jennifer Hickman, M.D. is a native Houstonian and completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Texas A&M University graduating summa cum laude. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Texas at Houston/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. While in medical school she was elected into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Hickman has actively been practicing dermatology since 2007. Dr. Hickman is board certified member of the American Board of Dermatology, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the Texas Dermatologic Society. She is interested in medical and surgical dermatology. She enjoys reading, gardening, and running. She keeps busy with her husband, son and two daughters. Dr. Hickman works exclusively out of our Provincial office.

Dr. Sana Zahiruddin

Dr. Sana Zahiruddin graduated summa cum laude and with highest honors from the University of Georgia. She earned her medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine with an additional scholarly concentration in cancer biology and molecular basis of medicine. Dr. Zahiruddin completed her internship at the Baylor College of Medicine. She is completing her dermatology residency from the University of Texas Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident. She has authored book chapters, presented at national and international meetings, and published widely, including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and Clinics in Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Texas Dermatological Society, and the Houston Dermatological Society. Dr. Zahiruddin's special interest include general and pediatric medical dermatology, including acne, warts, eczema, psoriasis, and the treatment of skin cancers. She also enjoys surgical and cosmetic dermatology, especially Botox and chemical peels. In her free time, Dr. Zahiruddin enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring Houston parks with her husband and two children. Dr. Zahiruddin works exclusively out of our West office location.
